 How to Create a myGov Account and Access Medicare & My Health Record in my.gov.au.

At Willowglen Medical Centre, we support your access to secure, up-to-date health information. By creating a myGov account, you can link to Medicare and My Health Record, giving you control over your medical history, prescriptions, immunisations, and more.

New to myGov?
Follow our step-by-step guide to create your account and link your services. Once set up, you can view your health information anytime and share it with your GP during appointments.

Already have myGov?
Log in and access your My Health Record to stay informed and involved in your care.

I don’t have a myGov Account

You need to create your myGov online account. Here’s how you create your myGov account.

Step 1: Create a myGov Account
Set up a secure password and choose a sign-in method (e.g. SMS code or myGov Code Generator app).
Visit myGov.
Click Create account and follow the prompts.
Provide your email address and mobile number.

Step 2: Link Medicare
Once linked, Medicare will appear under your services.
Sign in to your new myGov account.
Select Link a service and choose Medicare.
Enter your Medicare card details and answer a few identity questions (e.g. last GP visit).

Step 3: Link My Health Record
In your myGov account, select Link a service again.

  1. Choose My Health Record.
  2. If Medicare is already linked, your identity will be verified automatically.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete setup.

I have a myGov Account

If you already have a myGov account with Medicare and My Health Record linked:
Share relevant information with your GP at Willowglen Medical during your visit.
Sign in at myGov.
Select My Health Record from your linked services.
You can view:
Immunisation history
Prescriptions and dispensing records
Pathology and imaging reports
Hospital discharge summaries
